| Abstract | This study aimed to examine the composition gravimetric recyclable solid waste in the Cooperative recyclable materials from Criciuma CTMAR that collects waste in neighborhoods Garden Angelica, University, St. Augusta, Pinheirinho, Milanese Ceara and the municipality of Criciuma, in the extreme south catarinense, providing thus important data on consumption and thus income of the neighborhoods searched, along with pertinent information about the characteristics of each waste and the quantity of raw material that can be preserved with the return of these materials the chain of consumption. The economy of energy provided by the recycling of waste is also a factor and representative of extreme importance to a greater understanding and appreciation of that activity. Upon completion of the study, the following results were shown how to recyclable materials: the districts had a percentage of 67% of paper, slightly below the average of Brazil which has a rate of 78.29%, on the plastic the average was at 22.83%, above the Brazilian standards which is 9.26%. The metals only reached 1.17%, whereas in the country beyond the 7.34% and the glass held the third place with 9%, which occupies the last place in the composition of the father, with only 5.11%. |
