Abstract	El presente articulo asume un sector de connotacion estrategica global y se centra en la actuacion de Venezuela en el control del petroleo como base para el desarrollo de la nacion en el contexto de la Revolucion Bolivariana. Se presentan las transformaciones que se han inducido al sector petrolero y los ajustes fundamentales del mecanismo economico para el fortalecimiento del papel del Estado como regulador y las vias de apropiacion de la renta como forma de realizacion de la propiedad que ejerce sobre los hidrocarburos. En el contenido se exponen los principales efectos de las modificaciones que se ejecutan en la renta petrolera. Mas alla de la relevancia y alcance que tienen para Venezuela las experiencias que se presentan, recobran significado para otros paises que estan asumiendo posiciones claves en el control politico de sus recursos en funcion de los intereses de toda la sociedad. / The article deals with a global strategic connotation sector, focusing Venezuelan control of oil as the basis for the country's development within the scope of the Bolivarian Revolution. It also presents those transformations induced in the oil sector, and chief adjustments of economic mechanisms towards strengthening state role as dividends appropriations regulator as a way of carrying out property over hydrocarbon. The content shows main effects of modifications on creating, perceiving, and distribution of oil profits, as a premise for the realization of the state policy. Well beyond the relevance and scope it has for Venezuela, the experiences presented regains more significance for other countries that are adopting key positions in the political control of their resources, according to the interests of all society.
