| Abstract | A set of educational actions were proposed to promote environmental training in the first year students of Agronomy, through the potential offered by the General Chemistry program and environmental problems. We applied theoretical methods such as analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, modeling, as well as empirical: observation, pedagogical test. According to the objectives of the curriculum allows to develop, increase, encourage, enhance environmental training in students that allow responsible behavior and ethical principles consistent with the natural environment as required by the current times of accelerated economic development. The integrated application of the actions allowed demonstrating the feasibility of application of the proposed solution, as well as the development of environmental awareness in the first year students of the Agronomy career, which resulted in substantial changes in their modes of action towards the care and protection of the environment. |
