Skripsi, Surakarta, Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Sebelas Maret University, August 2016. The purpose of this research is to improve calculate fractions ability through learning model of cooperative type Team Accelerated Instruction (TAI) in fourth grade of SD Negeri Bratan 01 No.71 Surakarta 2015/2016 academic year. Enhanced computing capabilities, especially on addition and subtraction. The subject of this research were teacher and the 36 students on the fourth student of SD Negeri Bratan 01 No.71 Surakarta 2015/2016 academic year. This research was classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The data collection technique were observation, interview, test and documentation. The technique of data analyzed was interactive analysis and descriptive comparative. The data validity was investigated by content validity and triangulation. Based on minimum completeness criteria (KKM) ≥ 70. At pre-action the passing percentage was 36,11%; it increases to 61,11% at cycle I; and then it increases to 88,89% at cycle II. Based on result of the research, it can be concluded that using cooperative type Team Accelerated Instruction (TAI) can improve calculate fraction ability on the fourth student of SDN Bratan 01 No.71 Surakarta 2015/2016 academic year.
