| Abstract | The objective of this study was to understand how the aspects of learning are manifested in the relational practices of bank managers. We use the relational management definitions proposed by Watson (2005), in consonance with the concepts of informal learning and practice. To reach the objective, a qualitative approach was chosen. As data collection technique, semi-structured interviews were conducted with four managers, from different institutions, all located in the Inconfidentes (MG) region. The data were analyzed using the content analysis technique, using thematic categories. The analysis allows us to affirm that the universe of banking management has several facets still underutilized, in forms of learning that go far beyond the mere application of techniques, metrics and functionalist ways of measuring performance. The interviewed managers reported their importance to informal learning, which is expressed around their life histories, in various relationships and dialogues, especially in their interfaces with clients. |
