| Abstract | espanolObjetivo: Analizar el proceso de admision y los criterios para el ingreso de los estudiantes a la carrera de Enfermeria de la Universidad Hispanoamericana,del I cuatrimestre 2015 al I cuatrimestre 2017. Materiales y Metodos: Se estudiaron 1128 estudiantes de enfermeria de primer ingreso, se les aplico una Prueba de Conocimientos basicos de Biologia y Quimica y un test de personalidad. Resultados: En el I cuatrimestre 2015, 235 personas aplican el examen de admision universitario, 129 estudiantes lo realizan durante el II cuatrimestre 2015 y 98 personas para el III cuatrimestre 2015.En el I cuatrimestre 2016 la carrera de Enfermeria admite a 282 personas, en el II cuatrimestre 107 y durante el III cuatrimestre 82 estudiantes. En el primer cuatrimestre del ano 2017 ingresan 195 personas. En el I cuatrimestre 2015 el 2% (n=5) de los estudiantes de primer ingreso de la carrera de Enfermeria presentan alteraciones de personalidad, siendo un numero bajo para el total de estudiantes que realizan el proceso de admision (n=235). Sin embargo, durante el III cuatrimestre 2016, el 23% (n=19) presenta alteraciones en el perfil de personalidad. Conclusiones: Los resultados demuestran la importancia de someter al estudiante a un seguimiento durante el ingreso a instituciones de educacion superior, asi como la importancia de analizar la viabilidad de los instrumentos utilizados durante la admision. EnglishObjective: To analyze the admission process and the criteria for the admission of students to the Nursing career of the Universidad Hispanoamericana,from the first class period of 2015 to the first class period of 2017 Materials and methods: 1128 first-year nursing students were studied, a Test of Basic Knowledge of Biology and Chemistry and a personality test were also applied. Results: In the first class period of 2015, 235 students apply the admissiontest, 129 students do it during the second period of 2015 and 98 people for the third period of 2015. In the first period of 2016, the Nursing course admits 282 students, in the second period 107 and during the third period 82 students. In the first four months of 2017, 195 people were admitted. In the first semester of 2015, 2% (n = 5) of the first-year students of the Nursing career presented personality alterations, being a low number for the total number of students completing the admission process (n = 235). However, during the third period of 2016, 23% (n = 19) presented alterations in the personality profile. Conclusions: The results demonstrate the importance of subjecting the student to follow-up during admission to higher education institutions, as well as the importance of analyzing the feasibility of the instruments used during admission. |
