| Abstract | This article discusses the process of the constitution of the Institutional Program of Support to the Inclusion of People with Special Needs at UNIOESTE. The program was instituted in 1997 and has been able to advance in the inclusionary process, offering at the time of the college entrance exam, the formation of special review committees, of readers for the blind and interpreters of Sign Language (LIBRAS) and computers with the DOSVOX system. To serve university students, it produces adapted didactic material, guarantees Sign language interpretation in the classroom and has been consolidated as a means of participation in discussions with other entities for people with special needs at Paranas state universities. |
