| Abstract | In this paper, this study was conducted to clarify the relationship among perceived career barriers, work volition, career decision-making self-efficacy and career preparation behaviors in college students and to verify the effect and path of main variables on career preparation behavior. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. The research model was evaluated by considering the test and fit index (GFI, AGFI, RMR, NFI, CFI, RMSEA). Path analysis was conducted to identify the path of major impacts. Results: First, There were significant differences in career barriers, work volition and career preparation behavior according to demographic characteristics. Second, There was a significant correlation among career barriers, work volition, career decision-making self-efficacy and career preparation behaviors. Third, Career barriers, work volition, and career decision-making self-efficacy have direct or indirect effects on career preparation behaviors. Therefore, in order to improve career preparation behavior of college students, it is required to structure career counseling that can reevaluate career barriers and work volition, and improve career decision-making self-efficacy. |
