| Abstract | During the archaeological fieldwork that took place forty years ago in the necropolis of Revenga (Burgos), an interesting group of rock engravings was found out. They were mainly placed on the rocky floor of the colonnaded porch or atrium enclosing the church of this ghost town. Recent works on the updating of the archaeological register in this settlement allowed gathering exhaustively the information concerning the rocky platform where the engravings were placed on and to enlarge the range of prints discovered by Alberto del Castillo. The new reading of these evidences offers quite a more meaningful view to interpret its chronology and purpose. |
