| Abstract | There are very few researches that take care of the Chalchihuites culture iconography including the different expressions of it. In this paper we want to analyze two principal matters. First to define the petroglyph complex present in different sites in the Guadiana valley, central place for the Chalchihuites culture in Durango. Second relate the iconography present in the Chalchihuites ceramics with the petroglyphs, putting together the bases for an integral study of the graphic expressions created by these groups at the Northern frontier of Mesoamerica. |
