Abstract	Patient safety is an essential condition of healthcare, but it is susceptible to risk and the appearance of errors called adverse effects. Processes adapted from the industrial sector have been incorporated into the field in order to strengthen the security of attention and decrease its appearance. Several recommendations have been proposed to reduce the frequency of such events, including developing a safety culture in health institutions that is monitored and analyzed regularly to generate strategies for Intervening and reducing the impact of this problem. Health institutions having completed or In-process accreditation must take measurements of the patient safety culture in order to assess its implementation and establish continuous improvement processes. These measurements can be made through the instrument developec by the Agency for Healthcare Research aid Quality (AHR.Q), called 'Hosptel survey on patient safety culture", which has been validated in several countries and languages, to measure aspects related to the culture of security.Tftis investigation presents a quantitative study on the perception of the culture of patient safety by health professionals in a Level 1 health services accredited institution (IPS) from Bogota • Colombia, and performed with the objective of measuring the safety climate and formulating a plan for continuous improvement.
