| Abstract | One of the happening trend this time is cosmetics. Many new types and brands make people interested in trying. Also with Student Faculty Syari'ah UNISBA. Some of them buy cosmetics because of needs and some others buy cosmetics out of wants. So it can be seen that some of them spend their money for something that they do not really need and tend to behave consumptive. Whereas in Islamic Consumption Theory is taught moderate and not excessive consumption patterns. The problem in this research is how to purchase cosmetics according to Islamic Consumption Theory, how the behavior of Faculty of Shari'ah Students in purchasing cosmetics, and how the behavior of Student Sharia Faculty in purchasing cosmetics in terms of Islamic Consumption Theory. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with the type of field research and the nature of descriptive analytical research. The object of this research is Student of Faculty of Sharia of UNISBA counted 86 student. Sources of data used are primary data obtained by data collection techniques questionnaires and interviews. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the purchase of cosmetics according to Islamic Consumption Theory is the purchase of cosmetics by taking into account the amount of consumption so as not to overdo it, not wasteful, so avoid the behavior of tabzir, goods in consumption is not a haram, in consumed intention to get Allah's mercy, consider aspects of the Islamic Consumption Theory of needs in Islam, maslahah, final spending and consumption for the afterlife, as well as consumerism and tawazun. The student's behavior in cosmetic purchases is that although the funds spent on cosmetics do not exceed the allowance received every month, most students spend the money to buy cosmetics based on their needs rather than on the need. In addition, they are still making new cosmetic purchases when their old cosmetics have not run out where it shows the behavior of tabzir. Student behavior Shari'ah faculty is inconsistent with Islamic Consumption Theory, because not all aspect is fulfilled that is requirement in Islam, maslahah, and attitude of consumerism. |
