| Abstract | The Orthoptera sampled during the years 1991 to 2000 in the basin of the river Sabor (Tras-os-Montes- Portugal) are presented. 15235 exemplars belonging to 64 species, 41 genera and 16 subfamilies were identified. Three of the species are recorded for Portugal for the first time, Leptophyes punctatissima, Calliptamus italicus and Chorthippus yersini. Four species are recorded for the second time and eight are recorded for the first time for the North of Portugal. The fauna of Orthoptera in the region of Tras-os-Montes e Alto Douro is increased with 39 species. |
