| Abstract | The article seeks to contribute to the study of international scientific-technological cooperation from and for Latin America. The contributions found in the review of recent literature are organized and presented around different dimensions that contribute to rethink the characteristics and the role of scientific-technological cooperation in Latin American nations. Such contributions are the conceptualizations of development, the views on international cooperation and the characterization of the ways of knowledge production. These contributions can be found on different axes of international scientific-technological cooperation in Latin America. Thus, it is studied to cooperate internationally in matters scientifictechnological, within the framework of the different conceptions of development; also with whom to cooperate in science and technology in the international arena —questioning the association with traditional counterparts and giving way to horizontal relationships with alternative partners— and how emerging organizations and actors cooperate in the new modes of production of knowledge. |
