| Abstract | The explansion of the urban areas generates social, economic and environmental problems to have stops degrees of contamination due to the great amount of people, road vehicles, constructions, buildings, industries, among others. The implementation of Green Roofs is a new accesible technology to improve the habitability conditions generating positive impacts to the above mentioned problems; These are used for great benefits to the community restoring the coverage that the human being has displaced by the sealing of the soils; However, it needs commitment of the proprietary entity of the Centro Comercial Palatino for his adaptation, installation and maintenance. This article focuses in a Case study investigation; In the methodology shows the components, the types of plants that can be used in the covering due to the climate and the changes of the surface, an application example and the application of surveys in order to know the opinion about the subject and to obtain results. With the data obtained in the surveys made an analysis DOFA and concluded that great benefits acquire for the environment, the urban planning and improves the quality of life; being a good tool for the environmental management. |
