| Abstract | Digital game that used to be entertainment tool, now has been implemented in education field and brings the term of education game. The contrast characteristic between study and play has raised various problems in integrating them in an education game. One of the problems is the scenario of education game. The scenario of education game usually contains all of certain education material with arranged learning objectives, so the player got almost similar playing experience with other players. This led to a unique playing experience is not earned by players. This paper discusses about game scenario model that could adapt with the experience and skill of the player during playing the game with also give attention to the education material. Scenario adaptation that considers player action and skill is modeled using Finite State Machine. Different scenarios generated will result in a unique gaming experience for the player so that the effect on the motivation to play that ultimately can improve the acceptance and understanding of existing educational materials. The result of this research is an adaptive scenario model that can be implemented in education game. |
