| Abstract | This paper describes the microprocessor power LED current regulator. It can be used in lighting and signaling applications as well. The main advantage of the proposed circuit is improved efficiency, achieved thanks to the switching mode output power stage. Digital control allows setting of the output current and its stabilization (it leads to stabilization of the light intensity). The possibility of regulation of the light intensity is attractive when implementation of such circuit in modern automotive lights are considered. The regulator is capable of realization of two or more functions using just one set of power LED diodes. (Microprocessor implementation of high power LED current control).
