| Abstract | A senilidade e considerada uma fase de grande vulnerabilidade a infeccao pelo HIV; isso se deve ao contexto biopsicossocial de insercaodo idoso, no qual ha, normalmente, associacao de sua figura a perdas, limitacoes, incapacidade de procriacao e inatividade sexual. Objetivo: identificaras tendencias da producao cientifica a respeito dos fatores que aumentam a vulnerabilidade dos idosos a sindrome da imunodeficiencia adquirida (aids).Metodos: trata-se de um estudo de revisao integrativa, realizado por meio de consulta a Biblioteca Virtual em Saude (BVS), sendo utilizadas as bases dedados: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) e Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciencias da Saude (LILACS). Foram consultados artigos abrangendo o periodo de 2008 a 2012, e os mesmos foram organizados em um quadro especifico e analisados para a descricao dos dados. Resultados:varios elementos determinantes da vulnerabilidade ao HIV/aids em idosos foram identificados nos estudos, e quase todos eles constituiram o insumo do nosso trabalho. Dentre os mais encontrados nas leituras realizadas, estao: existencia de tabus sobre a sexualidade na velhice e conhecimento escasso dos idosos sobre a infeccao pelo HIV. Conclusao: o metodo utilizado mostrou-se eficaz para a efetivacao dos nossos objetivos. Os resultados apresentadosao longo da revisao revelam que ainda existem muitos tabus referentes a sexualidade dos idosos, e, consequentemente, poucos esclarecimentos sobre prevencao, transmissao e demais questoes envolvendo a aids.(AU) Senility is considered a phase of great vulnerability to HIV infection; this is due to the insertion of the biopsychosocial context of the elderly,in which there is usually a combination of figure losses, limitations, inability to procreation and sexual inactivity. Objective: to identify trends in scientific production about the factors that increase the vulnerability of the elderly to Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Methods: this is a study of integrative review, conducted by consulting the Virtual Health Library (VHL), and used the databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) andLatin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS). Were consulted articles covering the period from 2008 to 2012, and they were organized in aspecific table and analyzed for data description. Results: several determinants of vulnerability to HIV/AIDS in the elderly were identified in the studies,and almost all of them were the input of our work, among the most commonly found in the readings taken are: existence of taboos about sexuality inold age and little knowledge the elderly about HIV infection. Conclusion: the method used was effective for realization of our goals. The results presentedthroughout the review shows that there are still many taboos concerning sexuality of the elderly, and consequently few clarifications on prevention,transmission and other issues surrounding AIDS.(AU) |
