| Abstract | The article offers a broad review of the main bibliometric indicators from the more traditional ones based on authors' citations (IF, H-index, Eingenfactor, SJR, SNIP) to the more innovative metrics based on the article dowloads. The case of the PloS Article level metrics is also presented. In conclusion the authors discuss the new challenges for the academic libraries in the context of the research assessment. |
