| Abstract | This study was about the technical and operational analysis in a mechanized harvesting structure in a company engaged in forestry. The proposed methodology discusses the collection of datas (spreadsheets of costs and expenses, time of operation and production of operators of forestry equipment), analysis, consolidation and validation, evaluation of microplanning used and their effectivenes, calculation of cost involved in harvest and determination of the factors most impacting in operational costs and performance of the structure of forest harvesting. The aim of this study was to evaluate the variables that most impacted the performance and costs of harvester and forwarder machinery. The evaluation result showed that the variables most influence on performance and operational costs of timber harvesting machines were first the experience and training of operators, followed by the volume of individual trees and finally the factors resulting from mechanical maintenance . |
