| Abstract | This research is about the use of technology in the professional education, and we investigated through questionnaire applied in the second semester of 2016, the use of educational tablets as technological resource for education from the viewpoint of professors, subjects of the research, of Instituto Federal de Educacao, Ciencia e Tecnologia do Para IFPA/Campus Braganca, once these people received from the federal government tablets to aid in pedagogical practice. In a second moment, aiming to raise the use of tablets by professors, we proposed the use of SIGAA (Sistema Integrado de Gestao das Atividades Academicas)/IFPA, Mobile version. For this, the system passed by a heuristic evaluation of usability through ergonomic criteria of Jacob Nielsen, focusing on identifying the positive and negative points. In a last moment, it was applied the questionnaire of usability SUS (System Usability Scale) to the subjects of this research, who defined and opined the degree of satisfaction of this tool to be used in this device. The results showed the recognizing of tablet as an important technological resource to professors because some interviewers did research on the internet, access email and even teach and prepare classes with the device. Some difficulties were identified, such as: the physical infrastructure for the access the wireless networks and internet; the absence of pedagogical app and, mainly, the lack of the users training about using of this device, once the professors only received the material from the government, but there have been never an orientation for their use. To conclude, through this research SIGAA/IFPA Mobile version obtained index of satisfaction in SUS of 84.5, with suggestions for some interface guidelines and for the tablet to be a relevant technological resource for the professors, it is necessary to plan and execute coaching and periodic training. |
