| Abstract | Considering intersectional studies, which provide discussions with the aim of understanding how social markers articulate and generate social inequalities, this study starts from the scope of Social Assistance, which has the family as the central point, the purpose is to understand and discuss how such Public Policy ends up contributing and/ or reinforcing gender inequalities from their perception towards women, since she is still the focus of their intervention, as well as being considered the one who is responsible for the family. Therefore, a literature review was carried out on the women’s view and their role in the society over history, as well as attempting to realize how to connect those women to the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS), since she is the path of the Social Assistance, its programs and projects to the family. Thus, it can be observed that there is still a huge complexity on the existing relationships, being a multidimensionality of the forms of abusive use, inequalities and prejudice against women.
