| Abstract | The following capstone project constitutes a qualitative explanation of how the concept of governance authority evolved from ancient Greece to the present day. It establishes the changes that this concept underwent by analyzing the main stages of the policy in Greece and demonstrates how the evolution took place, following the peace treaties of Westphalia which took a fundamental part of this path. Likewise, this concept is contrasted with versions of "State" issued by three approaches to International Relations: realism, liberalism, and Marxism. These approaches explore different perspectives on the role and composition of the State, which are essential in the field of International Relations and Political Science. |
