| Abstract | This study analyzed magic power produced by the merchandise sport, from a concrete situation: the sprouting of a Club of Soccer of Plant (Porting Association Confidence), in the city of Aracaju/SE, the year of 1949. Having as first theoretician the historical materialism, the study broke of a concept of the merchandise elaborated for Karl Marx, in century XIX and of its metamorphosis, arriving at a cultural good (as the sport), that the culture process of banal-action of or Cultural Industry is configured in our time with. In this direction, I analyzed the sport in its some dimensions in modernity, in its form of income and spectacle, as well as in the approach with the media, when this measured its spectacle. The social relevance to which the research was submitted, makes possible a quarrel on the faces occulted for magic power of the sport, therefore when a phenomenon is analyzed, pass by for its historical bases, politics, economic and social, besides dealing with the contradiction and antagonistic interests of order of the capital, it can be contributed to nowadays promote an ample quarrel on this phenomenon and its relation with the formation human being. From the dialectic method, the inquiry had as method system option, in a qualitative perspective, the characterization of a historical research. In the procedures for "harvest" of the data the capture of the information in periodicals was include (media printed) on the history of the formation of the teams of soccer of the Plant, with clippings in the period of 1949 the 1970, and interviews halfstructuralized with people (sporting columnist, directors of the club, players, journalists, laborers) that they had made and they make the history of the club. The systematization and the interpretation of the data (documentary base and depositions) had been proceeded by means of the content analysis, from extracted categories of the proper field. In this direction, I found subsidies that also point with respect to the process of merchandise-action of the sport in Aracaju and of the paper of the media in the propagation of the sporting spectacle.
