Abstract	The acoustic contamination in the city of Quito is a problem whose importance and preoccupation have increased with time. The noise can cause great damages in the quality of the life of the people, because a prolonged exposure time causes serious effects in the auditory health, physical health and mental health of the people. Norms like the Metropolitan Decree No.213, Executive Decree no. 2393 Regulation of security and health of the workers and improvement of the work environment, the OSHAS the 18000 or the ISO 1999:1990, the book VI of the TULAS, Annex V, arise due to the necessity to count on mechanisms that regulate the acoustic contamination in the work surroundings and environmental surroundings. The company POFASA, dedicated to the faenamiento of birds in the Metropolitan District of Quito, wants to make a study in order to fulfill the mentioned norms, associated to the noise generation. The present project is a design proposal of technical strategies, whose primary target is the mitigation of the noise levels which they are generated in POFASA Company. The emissions of noise of the plant were evaluated, determining the critical areas, to later raise mechanisms that would help to the company to be certify in the fulfillment of the environmental norms and industrial hygiene for noise.
