Abstract	Pretende-se levantar e analisar o papel da Cooperativa na producao e comercializacao do leite e da assistencia tecnica no assentamento Timbore, localizado na regiao oeste do estado de Sao Paulo. A metodologia proposta e composta pela aplicacao de um questionario junto aos tecnicos do ITESP responsaveis por este assentamento e tambem ao responsavel pela Cooperativa Agropecuaria Timbore Andradina e Castilho (COATAC), visando levantar o seu papel junto aos cooperados na producao e comercializacao do leite. Concluindo que os tecnicos do ITESP vem desenvolvendo um bom trabalho junto aos produtores de leite do assentamento. Porem, as atividades da cooperativa junto aos cooperados resumem-se as compras conjuntas de insumos a precos mais baixos que os de mercado. A cooperativa deveria ser mais ativa junto aos cooperados, o que resultaria em melhorias.----------------The aim is to raise and analyze the role of the cooperative in the production and commercialization of milk and technical assistance in the settlement Timbore, located in the western region of the state of Sao Paulo. The proposed methodology comprises the application of a questionnaire along with the technical ITESP responsible for the settlement and also responsible for the Cooperative Agricultural Timbore Andradina and Castilho (COATAC), aiming to raise its role among cooperated in the production and commercialization of milk. Concluding that the technical of ITESP have been developing a good job with the milk producers of the settlement. However, the activities of the cooperative among cooperated summarized the joint purchase of inputs at lower prices than the market. The cooperative should be more active among cooperated, which results in improvements.
