| Abstract | The paper attempts to show that the Western present day is governed by a logic of death that is immanent in its socio-political organization. This thanatology is analyzed first by the aporetic structure which has come to consolidate neoliberalism. It is analyzed, secondly, through two thanatological figures ontologically underlying neoliberalism and so rooted in the world of life: the generalization of a "state of exception", leading to a "right to authoritarianism" and the transformation of the "concentration camp" in a ubiquitous "reticulated hollow”.
