| Abstract | The effect of X-ray irradiation on the structure, surface morphology, and element concentration in the Co-Ni-alloy coatings during the electrodeposition process is studied by X-ray diffraction analysis, and atomic-force and scanning electron microscopy. It is ascertained that the microhardness of the Co-Ni coatings formed under X-ray irradiation is higher and the friction coefficient is considerably lower than those of samples deposited under the same conditions but not irradiated. |
