| Abstract | Traditionally the organizations attempt to establish strategical planning looking at performance indicators over a long period of time. However, the traditional factors of evaluation do not always add values to the organization if implemented exclusively taking into account the financial indicators. Based on the Balanced Scorecard, this work intends to identify the relationship between the used strategies and the necessary knowledge for important decisions concerning the achievement of the target objectives. Considering the strategical planning, the Balanced Scorecard could be used to identify the performance indicators which really lead to the desired outcomes in the organization. The use of knowledge management concepts related to the target objectives allows an effective control of the organization's planning, making possible the involvement of staff in the process of building the scorecard, as well as visualizing the set of expecting results, its occurrences and causes. Further, the management of the knowledge becomes extremely important in order to identify the necessary steps for reaching the established goals in the strategical planning, increasing the company's competitive, organizational, and financial strength.
