| Abstract | espanolLos logros macroeconomicos de corto plazo de Argentina habilitan discutir esquemas monetarios rigidos para producir ciertos resultados que el manejo tradicional de la politica economica no ha conseguido. A este respecto, se analizan las experiencias de Ecuador y El Salvador, aunque no son aplicables a una economia mas grande y diversificada como la argentina. De este modo, la propuesta de dolarizacion de la economia argentina vuelve al centro de la escena politica del pais, siendo una clara representacion de la crisis institucional del pais, aunque sean evidentes los costos de su instrumentacion y quienes impediran su aplicacion. EnglishThe short run macroeconomic performance of Argentina enabled the analysis of hard peg regimes to produce the wished results that the traditional management of national economic policy has not been obtained. In this regard, the experiences of Ecuador and El Salvador are analyzed although they are not applicable to a larger and more diversified economy such as Argentina. In this way, the proposal of the dollarization of the Argentine economy is once again at the center of the country's political scene. It represents the institutional crisis of the country although the costs of its implementation and who prevent its application are evident. |
