| Abstract | Methods A double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled study was conducted in 74 patients (mean age 78±7 years) with clinical HF (NYHA IIIII) and ejection fraction ≥40%. The patients received either Quinapril or matched placebo (titrated to 40 mg/day or equivalent) for 6 months. Drug efficacy was evaluated by 6-minute walk test and Quality of Life (QOL) scores. Safety was assessed by the incidence of adverse events. |
