| Abstract | This research aims to determine the relationship between social support of families with psychological well-being (PWB) in the elderly. The current study used purposive sampling technique with the study participants were 70 elderly participants in GKJ Purbalingga . Family social support variables measured using a scale of social support Robert Weiss (1974), which consists of 24-item and variable psychological well-being Ryff and Keyes (1995), which consists of 42 item. Analysis of the data by using the technique of Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis and the results obtained r = 0.567 with a significance of 0.000 (p <0.01). The results showed there was a significant positive relationship between social support of families with PWB in the elderly. |
