| Abstract | This work is part of a study involving the analysis of environmental education in the state of Minas Gerais. This study analyze how the National Policy Environmental Education (PNEA) is included in the State Program for Environmental Education and the Curriculum for the Middle School (CMS). The methodology involves the analysis of the documents available on the site of the State Department of Education - Program for Environmental Education and New High School Curriculum Plan. The results demonstrate that the principles for an environmental education in Minas Gerais meet the most of the principles set out in the National Policy for Environmental Education (art. 4, Law 9.795/1999). The High School Curriculum Plan of Minas Gerais does not include the lines of action and goals defined in Environmental Education Program of the State, and also does not meet the precepts of PNEA. |
