| Abstract | The current project presents a bibliographic review in order to analyze, within bilingualism programs, the teaching-learning process of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to immigrant students who are not familiar with the official language of the country where they are living. EFL is used as the instruction language in the classroom. This piece of research is divided into three parts; the first is an introduction outlining the problem that English teachers face, analyzing the challenges and changes they must deal with. The second chapter analyzes the language politics developed in the countries near Spain and the actions aimed at the integration of foreign students and at their language training. Finally, the third chapter connects strategies with results and collects the resources that English teachers can use in the classroom to overcome the difficulties foreign students struggle with. |
