| Abstract | The noise phenomenon of automated arc welding processes can cause noticeable imperfections during the manufacturing. Most of these imperfections can be derived from the difference of the pre-programmed robot path and the actual joint, incorrect metal transfer or arc. Many post-welding material test method exist to ensure the quality of the joint. One test accompanies the other, thus many tests have to be executed for a correct conclusion. This takes time that can build up high costs for the companies. A real time arc welding system is able to control the welding process. In this article the control possibilities of automated arc welding and the sensing systems are presented. |
