| Abstract | This work aims to direct the gaze to the works of political and cultural challenge of Chico Buarque during the years 1967 to 1984 and analyze them, giving way to a dialogue between history and music with it so that we can observe such a unique way popular composer managed to make the confrontation with the military dictatorship and its repressive ways, dribbling it in many different ways, reminding us of the notion of "tactics" developed by Michel de Certeau. This is one of the authors we use to build this historical profile of Chico Buarque. Since Chico is a multifaceted artist, we chose to analyze one aspect of his work which is directly related to history: his songs of protest / criticism of the Brazilian military regime and all forms of totalitarianism. In this way, we can see how a political songs by Chico Buarque and narrate threaten the dictatorship, in its way, this important historical moment in Brazil. |
