| Abstract | The first part of this paper addresses the theoretical links between moral reasoning, pro-social reasoning and empathy. In the second part, empirical relationships between these three constructs are examined. A sample of 556 adolescents and youngsters is used. A number of evaluation tools are used, including DIT, PROM-R and IRI. Results show that moral reasoning, pro-social reasoning and empathy are positively empirically linked. Since all three constructs are involved in cognitive and affective processes, we can also assume the existence of a positive relationship between cognitive and affective processes in individual´s moral development |
