| Abstract | In the research titled Social Skills and Levels of Reading Comprehension in the 4th grade students of secondary education of the Educational Institution 7228 "Peruvian-Canadian", Villa El Salvador, 2018, aims to determine the relationship between social skills and levels of reading comprehension in students. The methodology used was a non-experimental cross-sectional descriptive design because it measures the relationship between the two variables in a given time, from a basic type Quantitative approach because results will be obtained numerically. We worked with a population of 157 4th grade students of the secondary level of both sexes and the sample was 52 students, using the technique of the survey and the questionnaire instrument to collect information. In this study, two variables were developed, first: social skills, with Gonzales as the main author. Also the second variable: levels of reading comprehension Huaman and Vasquez. The questionnaire was used as an instrument to measure social skills and for the levels of reading comprehension the questionnaire to be used in the survey Huamán & Vásquez (2012), obtaining The results confirm that there is a statistically significant correlation between both variables. Among its main conclusions we have that there is a moderate positive correlation (Spearman's Rho = .913) between social skills and reading comprehension levels in the 4th grade students of secondary education of the Educational Institution 7228 "Peruvian Canadian" Villa El Salvador, 2018. Therefore, the general hypothesis has been corroborated. |
