| Abstract | Present research, inscribed on the large scale Project “Estrategias Docentes para la Lectura Crítica” (teacher’s strategies for critical reading), came up from the problem question: How do strategies employed by teachers, encourage critical reading of fairy tales in kids from ciclo inicial? Therefore, it was stablished as an objective to Analyze the strategies employed by teachers to initiate kids of ciclo inicial in critical reading of fairy tales. In order to achieve this objective, the research was assumed with a qualitative focus, and a descriptive explicative method in a critical perspective. To collect data, it was selected a sample of four informers with the knowledge in children’s literature, more exactly in fairy tales, and meaningful experiences in the reading of tales. To them were applied technics: survey, deep interview and observation, with all their instruments, then, the gathered data was complemented with an analysis of documental material. To data analysis it was applied the “destilar la información” proposal, as one of the methods for contend analysis, that allowed the building of four categories: reading activities, characteristics of reading activities, key aspects of teaching strategies to the critical reading of fairy tales and the teacher as a mediator in strategies for critical reading. Finally, throughout an understanding exercise, came up findings that highlight the importance of fairy tales as a lecture that allow kids to express freely, by genuine conversations, aiming to initiate the critical education. |
