| Abstract | The pedagogical practice of telling stories is very common in early childhood education and in the early grades. Based on the assumption widespread by the literature according to which the school is a space for discipline, it is observed that children's stories are used as a practical resource triggered by teachers aiming at the constitution of disciplinary mechanisms in the school environment, either through explicit or euphemized way, but it is possible that the teachers are unaware of them. Thus, our purpose is to reveal how disciplinary mechanisms are mobilized in the children's stories told in literacy classes. |
