| Abstract | After the end of the Spanish Civil War in Granada, the Francoist regime had to continue consolidating its power. For this purpose Spanish Falange members, who collaborated throughout provinces, were essential. The aim of this article is to analyze what role affiliates of the Seccion Femenina of Falange had during the immediate postwar period in the development of Franco’s social policies, especially on women. This will allow us to examine how they supported Franco regime, despite all the difficulties they faced, by participating in some of the welfare institutions and developing new projects of charity, health, and educational nature, which served to generate and consolidate some social support or to politically socialize a small part of the women from Granada. |
