| Abstract | The contents presented in this paper is to explain the conduct of governments of Fernando Henrique Cardoso (1995-2003), Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (2003-2011) and Dilma Roussef (2011) with regard to the area of education, as well as policies educational largest public figure developed during these periods and targeted to higher education. As subject matter, with regard to public policies for higher education, were selected: Distance Learning (EaD); National Secondary Education Examination (Enem); Financial Aid Fund (Fies); Quotas; University for All (Prouni) and Support Program for the Restructuring and Expansion of Federal Universities (Reuni)). After searching the literature the concept of educational policies and measures taken by each of the presidents and their ministers in the management of the Ministry of Education (MEC), there was talk about the historical conduct of the main measures adopted, bearing in mind the understanding of actions governing the daily life of Brazilian education. |
