| Abstract | The education of a deficient person has undergone important concept changes, making the entrance of a student with special educational necessity at regular schools earlier and earlier. The inclusion has been done at fast pace and without criteria, thus not followed by scientific production. Aiming to act in this gap, this work has the proposal of studying the reality of two blind children, aged 5 and 6, who attend regular classes at schools of Salvador and accompanied, in this process, by Centro de Intervenção Precoce do instituto de cegos da Bahia. This work occured during the year of 2003 at inclusive classrooms, based on theoretical concepts of Vigotsky (1984, 1989, 1997) and Bronfenbrenner (1996), concerning the importance of social interaction to the human development. Set as a qualitative research, case study approach type, using interviews of teachers and assistants of regular classes and the observation and recording of the students interaction in the classroom, with the aim of knowing the reality of school inclusion of blind children. The results showed that the social interaction of blind children among non blind ones was effective, and it happened in spite of various obstacles, among them the lack of information of the regular teacher, precarious maintenance of the school premise, the inadequate supporting material, and emotional questions such as rejection, indifference, opposition of teacher and non blind classmates, related to the perceptive condition of a blind child. Based on the impediments identified in this work, during the process of a blind child inclusion, it was possible to present suggestions to the inclusive pedagogical performance.
