| Abstract | The mandible and maxilla fractures are common in dogs and cats, accounting for about 3-6% of all fractures. In most cases, the fractures have to open and contaminated in cases of trauma injuries can occur intercurrent, including upper airway obstruction, and trauma of the central nervous system. Surgical techniques and mandibulectomy maxillectomy are indicated when the inability or failure of other less invasive reconstructive techniques. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of mandibulectomy Partial Unilateral technique utilized and stainless steel wire to perform mandibular cerclage in feline having as positive as patient had a good postoperative recovery; not being observed feeding difficulties, there was a bit decency of points a few days after surgery but then the wound healed by secondary intention. |
