| Abstract | This paper reports a case of Dermatophytic Pseudomycetoma, in a cat NRD, four years. Dermatophytic Pseudomycetoma is a form of dermatophytosis where in dermatophytes fungal hyphae formed in the dermal and subcutaneous tissue. The nodular lesions formed as a result of deep tissue infection by dermatophytes is the most common symptom. The dermatophyt most commonly found in cats is Microsporum canis. In case, the patient had fistulizadas, nodular, with subcutaneous tissue exposure in both forelimbs, exudative, mucopurulent and lumpy. Histologically was characterized severe dermatitis pyogranulomatous hyphae with pleomorphic aggregates (Dermatophytic Pseudomycetoma). |
