| Abstract | This work deals with the development of a computational model to analyze three dimensional scaling of a centrifugal fan. For the study we counted on the software SOLIDWORKS version 2015 for the development of the geometric model and the simulation with the help of the software ANSYS CFX version 14.5 using the air as fluid the simulation parameters were defined in such a way as to obtain an approximation of what happens Inside the fan that concerns the flow of the fluid. After parameter definitions and mesh conditions, the values were compared with those obtained analytically. The results obtained were not satisfactory, the simulation time and the convergence of the model were satisfactory considering the problem to be studied. The present work serves as an example of a case study of the stages of the use of the methodology of research projects and applied to real problems in the most diverse areas of the industry. |
