| Abstract | This study aims to describe 1) the strategic plan of school performance, 2) the implementation of school performance, 3) the obstacles in implementing school performance, 4) the solutions made to overcome obstacles in implementing school. performance in an effort to maintain the quality of education in SD Negeri 1 Matesih. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data in this study are in the form of school performance in an effort to maintain the quality of education at SD Negeri 1 Matesih, Karanganyar. This study uses primary data sources and secondary data sources. The resource persons who became the object of this research were the principal, teachers and students of SD Negeri 1 Matesih. Data collection techniques in this study through interviews, observation and documentation. This study uses two types of triangulation, namely technical triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis techniques in this study used interactive data analysis techniques. The results showed that: 1) Strategic planning of school performance undertaken as an effort to maintain the quality of education in SD Negeri 1 Matesih Karanganyar Regency 2018/2019 Academic Year include improving teacher quality, motivation for educators and students, improving academic achievement, and improving facilities infrastructure. 2) These efforts include sending teachers to attend training and seminars, giving rewards (punishment) and punishment (punishment) for teachers and students, intensifying learning activities, and collaborating with donors. 3) Obstacles in the implementation of the performance of SD Negeri 1 Matesih Karanganyar in the Academic Year 2018/2019 in an effort to maintain the quality of education, namely low student enthusiasm for learning, teacher quality is still low, facilities and infrastructure are incomplete, and limited funds. 4) Solutions made to overcome obstacles in the implementation of school performance in an effort to maintain the quality of education, namely creating a pleasant learning atmosphere, providing training for teachers, maximizing the use of available facilities and infrastructure, and submitting funding proposals to the local government or raising issues related to funding to the student guardians |
