The first main purpose is to take note of some of Dudley Duncan's major contributions as a quantitative sociologist, as the leader in introducing path analysis and related structural equation models to sociology, as a pioneer in applying loglinear models and related models in many different sociological contexts, and as the leader in introducing Rasch models to sociology. The second main purpose of this article is to show the reader something of Dudley Duncan, of the person and his character. |
