| Abstract | The aim of the study is to find out 4 graders‟ misconceptions on the section about “humans and governance” and to examine the reasons for the misconceptions. For the study, a test with 15 questions was prepared. This test was administered in a randomly chosen school in Gaziantep to 100 Grade-4 students. Students were asked to explain the reasons behind their choices. the data were analyzed through descriptive statistic techniques. The examination of student responses made it evident that students have misconceptions about national sovereignty, citizenship, independence and public voting. |
