| Abstract | Objective: To verify and classify the information profile provided to costumers that have used a Drug Information Center (DIC) SAC Farma Pague Menos, installed on a drugstore chain in the state of Ceara - Brazil, from January to December 2005. Materials and Methods: All data used in the study were obtained from a pharmaceutical information data bank through the software Tactium Management, developed by the company Softium. This tool is able to efficiently store and sort the data needed to perform this kind of study. Results: The most requested drug information during the study period was the Diclofenac, with 5.08% among all information provided, followed by Acetaminophen with 4.53% and Levonorgest with 3.51% of the total. The level A has been the most requested level of ATC classification with 16.58% of the total, followed by levels N and G with 15.55% and 14.97%, respectively. On the second level of the ATC classification, G03 was the most requested with 13.29% of the total. Conclusions: The study showed that Diclofenac was the drug most requested for information and that the classes of sex hormones, systemic anti-infective agents, anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic products were the most recorded by ATC classification. |
